Nice trip report. I've got a permit for the Boulderfield on the 16th -- just hoping the weather is good. What you said about the wind up there makes me pause for a second! I love your pics going up and down the homestretch. Really gets me excited! Cheers.
Sounds like your group was prepared for this adventure and had a great experience together. I enjoyed your pics and reading about the changing weather conditions. It was nice of Shari to help people downclimb the chockstone.

I'm not comparing an eastern peak to a CO 14er, but I had the same reaction as you when I climbed Katahdin via the Cathedral Trail and Helon Taylor Trail. I swore I'd never do it again just after getting down. But now I want to go back!
