Hanson Sawmill Trail
I went up the ridge where the trail ends, east of Duck Creek. The first mile after the trail ends was bushwacking through lodgepole and spruce, then clear boulder hopping.
I came down to the west of Duck Creek, crossing back over to the trail at about 9500', below the big boggy marsh. This was much easier going (less bushwacking), and would make a pretty good route up. Going up from the end of Hanson trail, contour into Duck Creek, descending about 200'.

Loaf Mountain Ski
Skiied to the summit from Highway 16 off Powder River Pass. Total of about 10 miles round trip. Usually only skiable in late season due to low snow accumulation. We lucked out and had some perfect spring corn & powder.
