and concentration inside the raft! From my view, an 'inflatable'
would be much (less crazy) than taking a kayak or aluminum boat
down river.
Here in AZ, I discovered an aluminum boat wrapped around a tree.
Arizona rivers tend to constantly change, in regards to the rate of flow. I need to go up to Idaho/Montana and compare those rivers with the Arizona ones.
Another awesome page, Kathy !! !!!

Re: Outstanding humor
Thanks Larry! I have great respect for John Wesley Powell and others who bravely navigated the rivers and rapids in their wooden boats. And I've seen canoes wrapped against rocks too many times; give me a raft any time!
Thanks woodsxc! It was the best of our trips yet - I would do it again in a second! And our guides really did a super job of with the Whitewater MB. And talk about safe! I felt like I had 13 lifeguards with me!
8 miles of continuous class 4-5 sounds pretty darn awesome! Did you guys do it as a self-designed high adventure trip?

Re: Great Article!
We had to use an outfitter due to the itinerary we wanted but we customized the trip and helped with cooking, packing rafts, and general chores etc. The owner of the company is an Eagle Scout himself and does great deals for Scouts.
And you just noticed?
Let this be the first place that I publicly announce the fact that I turn 60 later this month! Nothing special planned yet since it is a weekday and workday and I only get unpaid leave in my current job :(
Go rafting. Great summary and pictures to capture the moments. Very much enjoyed the reading. Thanks.

As I've stated before...Awesome page & awesome adventure!
But, in the opening text, you mention your age as being (59).
Hmmmm ... isn't that the SAME age you were last year, and the year before that ?? : )))) ???
