Overview
Große Kanzel is a prominent summit on the southern end of Hohe Wand.
Several climbing routes lead to the summit (e.g. Wiener Steig UIAA 3, Fredsteig UIAA 4+, Zentennium 6-).

Near the summit are several Sport Climbing Sectors (e.g. Hammerlwand, Obere and Untere Naglplatte) and Wilhelm Eichert Hut (2 minutes from the summit).

Getting There
Car: Form Vienna on the highway (Südautobahn - A1) to Wiener Neustadt - continue to Grünbach am Schneeberg.
Train: from Vienna (Südbahnhof) via Wiener Neustadt (you have to change the trains) to Grünbach am Schneeberg, walk up to Seiser Toni (approx 30 min. from the train station) .
From Seiser Toni several hiking trails (Grafenbergweg), climbing routes (Zahmes Pechersteiglen UIAA 1, Kanzelsteig UIAA 2+, etc.) and a via ferrata (Wagnersteig) lead to the Große Kanzel summit.
