OSAT club climb
My second time to the summit. Fun day with Rik, Bill and Ray. Got a nice fun glissade on the way down!

Kasper
A group of 12 OSATers made it to the summit, largest group to make it the top together. A very fun climb that a lot of us to be outdoors all day but still have a chance to socialize.

OSAT Club outing
A fun day with an even dozen club members. ~6.5 hours roundtrip, with ~2.5 hours from 'Index' to 'Fickle' and back. That includes 12 people rappelling, scrambling, and then being belayed while climbing back up.

1 Million Vertical Feet
On this hike I reached a lifetime total of 1,000,000 feet of vertical gain. Rik led our group of 12 to the summit. We set up a rappel to reach the notch and then I set a hand line from there to the summit for anyone uncomfortable with exposure.

South Route
With Fred.
LOTS of snow - the snow in the couloirs was quite firm in the morning - we got a 6am start - but absolutely rotten and thigh deep on the upper 2/3 of the couloir in descent. Had to butt glissade it to make decent progress and to not trash the knees. The bottom was fine.
As Fred said - the notch was mostly filled with snow, so we had to go more west than the route is described. This is a bit more exposed and vertical but not too bad - recommend it be belayed due to exposure.
The weather was perfect and the views awesome.

South Route
Climbed with Moni.
The descent into the notch was blocked by a cornice and the notch itself was corniced, so we had to rappel to the west and climb back up to the notch. Much more snow than usual for this time of year.
A good time on this not often visited summit.

Hinkhouse Peak
Retrieved the original Mazamas summit register, which was mailed to their archives. Replaced it with a new register noting the official naming of the peak.
OSAT climbers Lori, Russell, Bill L, Nancy T, Pete S, Kat M, Ralph L. Chris , Allen, and Rik (leader). Although Bill set the hand line to the base of the summit rock, he let me have the privledge of being the first to summit the peak since its official renaming, because of my role in leading the campaign to obtain Board of Geographic Names approvals.
Climbed three times since it was renamed. The third was a winter attempt in 2005 that was turned around at the Index/?Fickle saddle due to snow conditions.
