Which one?I felt the exact same way about this pile. Oh the joys of highpointing.

Same here.I stood on every pile of rocks I could find. Did the same on Sawmill.

Re: Same here.Initially I thought this was the highest but in looking at my GPS coordinates, I found this area was most likely outside the Ventura County boundary. Heres the TOPO
of the spot. On Sawmill, the small cairn and register located about 75 feet (?) from the big cairn and register was placed on a rock that most likely was the high spot. Here's the kicker though, that pile of rocks in this picture, if in Kern county may be higher than that spot that is on Sawmill Mtn. Wouldn't it be weird if both the county highpoints were 60 feet from each other.
Was the 2nd register still there on Sawmill?

Re: Same here. The second register, in what looked like an old vitamin bottle, was still there on Sawmill. I added another piece of paper to it since the one in it was full. Is there a register for Pinos? I couldn't find one.

Re: Same here.On 8/11/06 the old vitamin bottle was there. I like this view better then the large rock pile, which also felt a little lower to me. Who knows?
