Grand Ridge
I've biked the Grand Ridge trail several times, but never took the side trail to the top. Done as a '3fer' with Deep Devil and Fuller.

Grand Ridge
Hiked with Bobby the Boxer. The bootpaths will get you within the 1400+' contour but to get to the N summit a brief bushwhack is necessary.

With BearQueen
First time that my parking area had better views than the entire trail up and the summit. Good summit to do on a rainy day. Like BearQueen said, fall is the best season to be here.

Only good for late October
My husband and I got every high point there was on this ridge. Personally I would have preferred to go somewhere else. This type of hiking is no fun. No views and very little scenery. I often felt as if I was going to be run over by all the mountain bikers on the Grand Ridge trail. The left over fall colors were nice but they probably would have been better two weeks ago.

MUDDY!!!
This route was muddy, muddy, muddy... Even in the snow-coverd upper slopes, stepping into the snow usually led to a mudhole underneath. No views at the summit. Beautiful forest scenery, however.
