Just to let you know, I have recently adopted this mountain page, and added several routes and photos, as well as a number of cosmetic changes which I hope have improved the page.
When you have a minute, could you please revisit the page and then consider revising your vote?
Arrg! You beat me again! I had marked this peak page on me to do list before winter break started. Oh well, I still ahve 2 more unclaimed peaks to do -I'd better get busy.
The page could definitely use fmore info (e.g. trail descriptions, links, photos). Otherwise, I'd give it a 4 star rating.
P.S. I don't have your e-mail address w/ me here at Berkeley, could you send me an e-mail? That way I can send you pics from our trips!
I read a bit of folklore in the Daily Herald that states:
"One story suggests that the miners kept a flock of noisy turkeys [near the Baker Spring/Mine], leading to the name of Gobblers Knob for the nearby peak."
Cool story. I emailed the author, who stated it was simply a story that he and other locals had heard, so no way to verify it. All the better. :)
