"As an adolescent I aspired to lasting fame, I craved factual certainty, and I thirsted for a meaningful vision of human life - so I became a scientist. This is like becoming an archbishop so you can meet girls."

Fun ClimbFun route. Get on this route early, the ledges seem to bake when exposed to morning/afternoon sun, and there will be rock fall as the temperature rises. Turned around in March due to suspect snow conditions while traversing on the ledges. I would climb this route again.

Short and SweetGreat route......great conditions and absolutely Junery weather in January! A guy in another group went all the way to the summit wearing shorts! Ledges had excellent snow coverage and the exit chute was in REMARKABLE condition. Descended the ID.......celebratory Rainier beer back at Paradise.

DirectA very fun and direct route to the summit. The route is very interesting and has a good mix of stuff. The party in front of us almost got taken out by a huge rock, so we opted to descend the DC.

Soooo close but sooo far awayLots of snow on the ledges. Final chute was ready to blow and the cruxy traverse sent us packing. Liberty Ridge next time. Awesome route though; red moon rising, Adams, Hood, Jefferson and St Helens looming over the clear horizon... Simply awesome.
