The ascent from the Frischmannhütte is steeper than the descent to the Erlangerhütte. (No technical difficulties, the ridge is on some parts a bit exposed) Furthermore, we had overnight snow and the, now frozen, rainwater from the days before had made the rocks above 2800m quite slippery. Nice view from the summit to the Kaunergrat, Sellrainer Berge, Geigenkamm, and the Weißkamm.

There was only one good day during the long weekend of "Maria Himmelfahrt" in 2005; I used it for a traverse of the Lehner Grieskögel from Ludwigsburger Hütte / former Lehner Hütte to Fundusfeiler. When I walked back to the hut it started raining again ....

same route as Jurgen: weather was fine in the morning, but when we reached the summit it was stuck in clouds. Later in the afternoon it got fine again. That's how it is in the mountains...

Traverse, date: summer 1996Erlanger Hütte - Fundusfeiler - Frischmann Hütte - Köfels. I was 10 years old at the time.
