Didn't realize I was going to Full House Peak, but I went!  Sucess!

Last Sunday I was set on going up to Island Lake and then heading up to Thomas Peak for the fourth time. But the time I got up above Island Lake, I didn't care to proceed to that peak any longer. I sat for some time, considering if I wanted to explore any higher. I considered returning to the trail and heading back to the car briefly. Then, while looking down onto Island Lake, I looked to my right. A saddle was just east of the cliffs on the southeastern side of Thomas Peak. I proceeded there, and then I saw how the ridgeline kept going higher and higher to the east. I followed it along, and before I knew it, I was at some false summit with a small cairn. Farther east was an even higher peak. I made my way to it, and there was a bigger cairn. Just next to it was a register box. I opened it up. Full House Peak! Wow, I'd had no idea. After taking some pictures and enjoying the view, my fingers began tingling as the cool breeze brought a chill in the air. What an awesome time it was to have been able to get away from all the noise in our nation right now as we approach the presidential election of 2020.

Wonderful ascent with wildlife!  Sucess!

Started ascent from Road's End parking lot, hiked to Island Lake in about 35 minutes. Went up the slope that leads to the saddle between Thomas Peak and Full House Peak, saw 6 mountain goats, one of them no more than 200 feet away from me. Saw 5 Himalayan Snowcocks as well. Reached the summit in roughly 2 hours, went down the other side and picked up the stock trail to Lamoille Lake for the rest of the way down. Lovely views from the top and nice register underneath the summit cairn.

Traverse from Full House  Sucess!

A bit tricky getting past the steps in the ridge, but not too hard. Trip report.

with Thomas  Sucess!

traversed over here from Thomas peak. I did not see the register however. Not a very exciting peak but very cool looking peaks nearby. I think the name Full House predates the register as Sierra Club (DPS) reports mention this name prior to 2000.
