Fine Capture! What about a mention about Mięgusze and the pass on the right?

Re: Fine Capture! The Mięguszowska przełęcz is a bit further after. Here on the right we have the Dolina Mnicha whose Polish trail ends in a cul-de-sac (another absurdity in the Tatras: the Slovak trail exists but unmarked). Anyway I'll attach this image to the 3 Mięgusze peaks too ;)

Re: Fine Capture!Aha, but I meant the low pass. I was on Szpiglasowy quite a while ago but isn't the pass on the right the famous (early 20th century hiker's classic) Wrota Chałubińskiego (Chalubinski Gate)- one of the few little sections of the marked trail network I haven't set foot on?

Re: Fine Capture!right, now that you say it I remember, it is Wrota Chałubińskiego. My initial plan was to walk it up and down just for having a look, but I changed my mind when I saw the corrie full of melting snow... (french hikers call it "soup"...)

Re: Fine Capture! For the last several years I've kept to the Slovak side but I remember myself thinking of covering this one odd piece of the Polish trail (actually I haven't been on Nosal either:)), untouched by my foot yet, while spending another summer in Białka in the 1990's but each time I changed my mind and crossed the frontier at Lysa Polana. Too many people on the road to Moko...

Re: Fine Capture!Nosal => ? (forgive my lack of knowledge in abreviations :)
some other nonsenses concerning trails : Gladka Pass, Liliowe, Hincovo-Miegusovska przelecz... a bridge between Schronisko Roztoka and Dolina Belovodska would also be welcome..

Re: Fine Capture!Nosal=> thanks, a good idea with the kid in few monthes !
About Bielovodska, I'm not sure we can talk about a "floodgate"... Schengen is already on, people can start walking in Bielovodska like in Morskie Oko.. last time I was there the car park was full with Polish cars.. on the other hand very little people seem to know the existence of Roztoka, and I am sure if the opening of such bridge is not too mediatised, almost no one will mind about this possibility. By the way it is not my invention but something really planned ! (I read it in the Tatry magazine)

MięguszeI would propose to mention Mengusovsky peaks in the main caption, as they are the main theme of the photo, while Rysy takes up just the top right corner (if I set the scene well, that is... - when I visited Szpiglasowy Wierch, everything was in clouds)

Re: MięguszeOk, ok, ok, you are right guys... renamed it :)
Peter, you are wrong just on one thing: Rysy is not on the right top corner but probably mixed in the black mass :D

Re: MięguszeVictory, victory! ;D
Well, as I told, I haven't seen Rysy from this perspective, but my bet would be coords(448,39) on this pic.
Merry Christmas, Eric!
