Re: Awesome capture of Agassiz !Thanks Larry! But actually, that is Fremont Peak. For some reason I had it mislabeled as Agassiz at first (I don't know how I got the two confused). But I changed it.

Re: Awesome capture of Fremont !Yes, you're very right!
So, can you please give me a brief summary of
what you did? Did you come up from Lockett Meadows and through Inner Basin on the Weatherford Trail ???

Re: Awesome capture of Fremont !haha sorry about that Larry. I was going to try and make a trip report and then just give you the link for it. But I have been having too much fun playing in the snow.
We started at the Humphreys Peak Trailhead. Then, around the basalt scree slope along the trail, we headed straight up the mountain. We saw the old B-24 Bomber wreck. We then topped out along the ridge, right before Humphrey's main false summit. We then took the ridge to Humphreys. Then, we hiked the ridge back to where our packs where at and then proceeded down to the saddle. From the saddle, we went up to about 12k, just before the "off limits" sign for Agassiz is. We then camped on a bunch of snow there. Then, we hiked Agassiz early the next morning. For the way down, we just took a chute straight down into the SnowBowl. It was a really fun two days!

Re: Awesome capture of Fremont !Congrats to you! But, there was a law passed against people having too much fun!
: )))
I think the Weatherford Trail can be seen
in your picture. It meets up with the Inner
Basin Trail further down.
Incredible shot! You oughta ask the dude who
owns the Fremont page if he can make this
the primary image picture ... WOW ! !!

Re: Awesome capture of Fremont !Yes, this is true. But thankfully the snow somewhat overrides this law that you speak off. Yeah it is visible. I don't know until recently that that trail used to be a road! Probably got shut done cause of the rare flower thing. I think he has seen it. He has already made my images the primary image for the Humphreys Peak page and the Agassiz Peak page. Maybe...
