On good years, the flowers are legendary in Colorado, but I'd have to say for sheer numbers and spectacle, the San Juan flower display is unbeatable. American, Imogene, Yankee Boy, Ice Lake and SilverLake basins overwhelm the senses and render one speechless. I did a feeble job at displaying this on the Golden Horn page. Your angle here is excellent, and color saturation is pure eye candy!

Thanks Aaron, I actually meant "here" as in Colorado. I agree with you, the flowers in the San Juans are the best I have ever seen. We were at American Basin once at the beginning of Sept and the flowers were still going strong! Maybe we'll have a good season this year with all the new snow, the flowers in the past 2 years have been disappointing :-(
