First Mountain I Hiked Up in Colorado
It was one of the most beautiful hikes I have ever been on. It is almost surreal. I took some of the most beautiful pictures I have ever taken there. It looks like a postcard! The day we went was absolutely incredible. Very few clouds, light winds, nice temperature, and the sky was such a vibrant blue. This is a great mountain to get your start on. It is not a cake walk, but not extremely difficult either.
Great trek. If you hike to Flattop Mountain press on to Hallett Peak and enjoy the wider perspective/view.

Nice Day out
Traverse of Flat top, Hallett and Otis and decend down Andrews Glacier to the Loche. Was a very rewarding day since all my regular climbing buddies were working and couldn't do anything more technical. Turned out to be a great day in the mountains.

Trail under snow and wow I'm out of shape
Took off from Bear Lake and hit snow after about 45 mins. Followed the tracks of others, but I was not ready to be in the mountains, physically. Worked up to a nice bend overlooking Dream Lake and went back. Wasn't really hoping to make the top. As with any hike/climb in the Rockies, magnificent view!
Flattop was the first peak of the day. We continued to Ptarmigan Point, Notchtop, Knobtop, and Gabletop. We started from Bear Lake and descended through Tourmaline Gorge to Odessa Lake and then to Fern Lake trailhead. Windy conditions all day on the divide with dark clouds but no lightning.
