I hiked in to Pine Lake on a rainy day, and camped for the night. By morning the sky had cleared, and it turned out to be a beautiful, but partly cloudy day. The hike from Pine Lake to the Tom Taylor cabin was pretty easy, and all the cow manure and background sounds of cowbells made for an interesting ambiance between the cabin and the summit lookout. Shasta was blocked by clouds, but I had great views of the Marbles and Trinity Alps. The firefinder in the Lookout was pretty fun to play around with.

North Fork Salmon RiverFun climb! I spent two nights in that area. The old growth forest in that drainage is incredible.
