Looks like a fun area ..So, this would be NW of St George ?
Wasn't there a wildfire burning in this area,
or was it MORE to the north ?
Which part of Utah do you prefer BEST for
outdoor hiking opportunities, north or south ??

Re: Looks like a fun area ..Yes, indeedy! It's ~10 miles NW of St. George.
Not so sure about a fire in this area, but if you're interested in fire resources for Utah, http://www.utahfireinfo.gov/ is a good one! It has an interactive map on the main screen with current fires and their stats.
As far as northern v. southern Utah, it really depends on my mood and the season. It's like comparing apples and oranges!
