Another interesting-sounding Maryland summit I've never heard of. Very nice.
A couple things: proof read some of the text. It's a bit rough gramatically speaking. Also, it would be nice to have a link to the Frostburg weather via NOAA or something.
I was just at Dan's Rock again yesterday and there have been a number of small improvements including more name signs and more stairways and pavement. And this is compared to what I found visiting in 2006. And sad to say, even more defacing of the rocks.
I have also added quite a few new pictures although not of the best quality due to the haze of the afternoon (fog in the morning prevented AM pics) I will try again in future trips. We are seriously considering relocating to western Maryland in 2013 or 2014 so we will be passing through this area more often!

Untitled CommentI am glad you caught the Potomac spelling error. I'm a little embarassed considering I grew up in Silver Spring, Maryland.
As for the name Dan, I added that to the overview page. Seems like an interesting story. I am going to check for some links to add about the story.

Untitled CommentThanks for the vote! Good idea about the NOAA link. I presently need to do that with all my pages.

Untitled CommentEK,
Looks like you have good information down.
However, it would be nice to see a couple more photos.
For the photos you do have, check your spelling of Potomac.
Also, what else is in the area? Any hiking trails at all?

Untitled CommentUnfortunately there seems to be no hiking trails on this summit. I do recall though that the eastern side of Dan's Rock is famous for bouldering.
On the pictures side I do have some from Frostburg I will be putting on shortly.

Untitled CommentNice page. Little did I know that I was driving by Dan and his rock each time I drove from D.C. to Cleveland when I lived in the east.
