Normal N Side Scramble
With Moni - a nice day out.

Hazy day
High overcast and smokey haze made for poor views from the summit, but at least it was cool. Much of the climb is a scree fest, but the gully is fun.

Crowsnest Mountain
Tore my MCL in a crevasse in 2011, so went on a scrambling spree which included the trio of Ward, Allison and Window the next day. The day I drove down I went up Crowsnest and then camped on a comfortable spot on Allison Road. From car to car in under 3 hours! Got to love these Crowsnest Pass objectives. Well marked trail to the summit, never really seen that much signage for a scramble before. A bit of snow in late Sept since you are ascending the north face. Saw where someone turned around, but did not need to, the snow never interfered much. Beautiful day.
I really enjoyed this climb. After the second headwall we encounters snow and ice. The ice made things a bit tricky. Loved the views. Ascent time was 2.5 hours, descend just over 1.5 hours.

Route Climbed: Normal scramble
I have wanted to climb this mountain since I was a small child passing through the Crowsnest area in my parents' car. I still have a postcard of it from those days. Finally, my wish came true!
A very enjoyable day out with interesting scrambling and fantastic views. A few patches of snow near the top made for interesting going... an ice axe is pretty handy to have if there is still snow on the mountain.
