nice hike
Nice post-study/work stroll with Van. First hike since arrival. Great views. While practically spriraling almost all the way around the mountain is cumbersome, it allows for different views from pretty much all aspects, which is nice. Marine layer up top, but some nice views lower down. ~2:20 from her place.

Last summit of the Tri-Tip Challenge. Summited 19.30ish, in the dark. Sore after this one :) Tri-tip & onion rings at Firestone were delicious! Thanks for another memorable adventure, baby :)

Morning warmup
Climbed San Luis and Islay Hill as a warm for Bishop Peak.
Really peaceful hike up to the summit. Seemed to be lots of different trails to the top. Only myself and a girl from Cal Poly at the top. Everyone was friendly on the trail and seemed to be enjoying themselves. Next time I'm in the area Bishop Peak is top of my list!

Son's First Summit
Tristen was one year and one day old. It was a lonely, calm, sunny, beautiful day on the Central Coast. Nice hike - great views. Tris wanted to run free at the summit and was not happy when I corralled him. I was happy though.

East Slopes
Not knowing anything about how to reach it, Matthew and I started up the east side, going past the large "M" and then hit upon the trail spiraling to the summit. Trip Report.
