"So I was sitting in my cubicle today, and I realized, ever since I started working, every single day of my life has been worse than the day before it. So that means that every single day that you see me, that's on the worst day of my life."

From the "tourist" TH#1 05-09-24 W/Lana. A short scamper in the most blustery winds we had experienced the entire day (we had already done Stringham Peak (a 7:30 start) and The Sentry (an 11:30 start). The views continued to impress us but it's always difficult to fully enjoy them when one is fighting to stand upright rather than tip over. We figured our work had qualified us to celebrate so we visited the Island Buffalo Grill and were delighted to feast on fabulous buffalo burgers along with a basket of golden brown french fries. This peak was #30 in my quest for 80in80. The project is coming along - at least for now.

Short walk with great views. -Swarms of bugsWalked up with family and some extended family who were out on a visit. Easy walk up. Lots of bugs and we all got swarmed on the summit, so could not stay long.
Saw some evidence of a wildfire that had taken place a week or so prior. Sage brush in a boulder field was burn, but did not spread due to be isolated by the boulders.

Quick FixIt has been extraordinarily warm this winter so I took the family to Antelope Island for a picnic. I did a quick run to the top of this peak. It's not much of a hike but the view is really great!

Serene and spectacularAfter spending the night camping by the beach on Antelope Island, I hiked up to Buffalo point with my daughter. She made it to the observation area on her own, and then I carried her up, down, and back to our campsite on my shoulders.
We saw bison on the way up, as well as some birds we didn't recognize (grouse, maybe?). The view from the summit is amazing.
