Route Climbed: From Lake Rd and over Colvin Date Climbed: Oct. 12, 2004
I now understand why the trail from Colvin to Blake (and back) is so popular! Some mud, despite a long dry stretch, and some wonderfully annoying rocky stretches with limited hand holds and plenty of opportunity for slipping. The trail wasn't crowded!
Route Climbed: Traverse over from Mt. Colvin Date Climbed: July 2002
Views? Nothing, Nathen, Nada. If you like trees then this is your mountain, cause that's all you'll see from the top. It's is a pretty tough trip over (given what awaits you). It's steep off Mt. Colvin and possibly steeper up Blake.
The only positive out of this climb is that it crosses off one more mountain in my journey to climb the 46 High Peaks, and I never have to do it again.

Route Climbed: from colvin and back Date Climbed: JUne 29 2003How about them views? My favorite part was having to fist jam that crack on the way back up colvin. That sounds kinky.

Route Climbed: Trail from Colvin & back Date Climbed: July 19, 2002I managed this hike fairly quickly. The terrain on the southwest side of Colvin is very rough and somewhat steep. Blake has only minimal views.
