"As an adolescent I aspired to lasting fame, I craved factual certainty, and I thirsted for a meaningful vision of human life - so I became a scientist. This is like becoming an archbishop so you can meet girls."

Warm up for KingsAndy I enjoyed this as an acclimation hike the day before we climbed Kings Peak. What an enjoyable hike! We sat out a short thunderstorm just below treeline. Then nice views from the summit!
The only issue was that we shredded a rental car tire on the road out. The last several miles are pretty rough! Thanks Sarah for making the suggestion on this mountain!

Sunset SummitHit the summit at sunset and somehow managaed to leave my flashlight / headlamp in the truck. Crazy experience trying to get back to the trailhead in the dark. Will never forget that night.

East Fork Blacks Fork TrailheadI enjoyed this gentle peak on a lunch break during our out-hike from Red Castle Lake. I had spent several nights in the lovely wilderness wonderland backpacking the East Fork Blacks Fork Loop. I literally dashed up this mountain while my companions finished lunch. I bragged breathlessly for 10 minutes non-stop about the views from the summit, which I enjoyed alone.
