Bushwack galore!
From FR220, took a more direct route up, steep but doable. Descended as described by surgent. It was a fine warm day with great views from the top. I didn't see any summit register. I was able to drive all the way to the trailhead as the road seemed to have been improved.

From FR 220
Bushwhacked? You bet. I'm still bleeding I think. Bring your full-body Kevlar for this one. The summit is lovely, full of man-eating cholla. I had bonked 1/4 mile from the top and kinda stumbled my way up, signed the register, ate, and turned back downhill which was a bummer b/c I didn't get the spend much time up top. Pretty summit - getting there is just torturous.

A fine winter day
Went with streeyyr. A snow from two days ago was fast melting, and the hike went well. Definitely a peak no one climbs very often.
