You got up there early! Did you camp on the snow? You must have brought a big camera along too as Alpamayo is not so close from Pisco.

We started from the Refugio camp at around 1 am and arrived at the top just when the sun was coming up, at around 6.15.

As for the camera, I took with me a Panasonic DMC FZ28. It's a superzoom, and I found it a very good compromise: it's light at around 350 grams, not too bulky, but almost as good and flexible as a reflex. I had just bought it and I was really happy with it.
