A neat time to be on the summit is on a sunny day whence the mountain can cast macroscian shadows onto Barclay Lake 3,700 feet below. I remember quite vividly how I could see right down the treetops. I could also see motes of bright reds and blues afloat on the lake. These were innertubers lazing away the day. Photo taken August 10, 1997.
