When we climbed Cat in the Hat the ropes were awfully hard to pull; Jk and SD were both pulling with all of their weight combined, grunting and making cracks about rope sex. I was doubled over laughing.
We started late, about 11:30 or so, and got back to the car at 7. We were worried about getting a ticket. What was wierd when I got back to the car, the black pavement in the parking lot looked like a dike that I'd have to climb over. I asked SD how he got up the there. He came over and showed me I was one the pavement. After a few seconds, I could tell the pavement was flat. I figure it was an optical illusion due to the fact that I had been staring at the white rocks in the path on the way out, so I wouldn't trip on one.

nice reportGreat trip report. Very funny/well written. Sounds like something I'd get myself into as a fellow sucky climber and master of poor luck.
