"As an adolescent I aspired to lasting fame, I craved factual certainty, and I thirsted for a meaningful vision of human life - so I became a scientist. This is like becoming an archbishop so you can meet girls."

Mosquito DelightI hiked 7 13ers and one fourteener. A great all day trip. Started at Leavick mining site. Hihed Horseshoe Mountain, Finnback Knob, Horseshoe Mountain again, Peerless Mountain, Mt. Sheridan, Mt. Sherman, Gemini Peak, Dyer Mountain and White Ridge. Great day.

From LeavickVery last minute decision. I heard about the Lyrid meteor shower and thought I might car camp, watch the show, and get a peak or two in. Didn't see a single meteor! But did summit Peerless, Sheridan, Sherman, and White Ridge.

From Fourmile CreekCheryl and I had a fantastic day. Sunny, cool...well, ok, we almost got blown off the summit and summit ridge a few times once the wind kicked up, but the day was lovely and only one other climber came over to this summit. Everyone else was crammed onto Mount Sherman or wondering over to nearby Sheridan.
