"After the first glass, you see things as you wish they were. After the second, you see things as they are not. Finally, you see things as they really are, which is the most horrible thing in the world."

Late SummerMy son and I actually ended up here by accident, via Peru Creek near the old Pennsylvania Mine. With it being around noon, we decided to take a shot at it. The trail heading up wasn't the greatest, and hadn't been traveled in some time. It appears in two spots, a minor rockslide had washed out the trail. Wasn't terrible, just loose, and after prodding my kiddo a bit, we got across them. Once up higher elevation on the switchback, the trail while small, was fine. The view from the top is amazing! We'll do this again with a better camera next year. Was a great test for the kiddo and I to tackle the Grays/Torrey's combo next summer.

Cinnamon GulchWith Decatur, Silver and Brittle Silver. Nice short outing on a day with a bad forecast, stated raining while hiking the road out and it wasn't even 10am.

Shelf Lake routeWhat a gorgeous day!!! Shelf Lake is pretty spectacular. Amazed by the amount of wild flowers still in bloom! Saw just a few folks on-trail. Naturally had the peaks all to ourselves. Scree descent sucked a bit, but Sen seams to enjoy such chaos. ;-)
