"After the first glass, you see things as you wish they were. After the second, you see things as they are not. Finally, you see things as they really are, which is the most horrible thing in the world."

A Great Workout, A Great Peak! This is was my third of four CoGPPs done on the same day, and by far my favorite. It took me slightly over 5h30m roundtrip, hiking at a brisk pace with few stops. It's not often in Washington to find a peak where you actually have to drop 2000' in elevation to reach it. Impressive! I saw several bull elk on nearby slopes along the trek, and they were heard calling potential cow-mates. The views from the summit are spectacular.
