"Got tight last night on absinthe and did knife tricks. Great success shooting the knife into the piano. The woodworms are so bad and eat hell out of all furniture that you can always claim the woodworms did it."

Route Climbed: NW Ridge Date Climbed: july 2005Climbed Blanc de Moming after traversing Le Besso. A very nice trip with magical views during the climb. Sometimes exposed climbing when traversing the second part of the ridge. Be very careful when descending the SW Ridge! Although graded only PD, and normally easier than what you've already been gone through, it was the most difficult part of the route. It's difficult to find the right way here, don't miss the path down to the right when descending the ridge. When you miss it, the ridge will gradually steepen and you'll end up rapelling the last part of the ridge and don't expect to find good belays (at least there's one of us now). Although the whole ridge should be marked with cairns (at least in the first part when we found several), I know other parties who lost their way up there. Don't tell me I didn't warn you! But nevertheless, this should not stop you trying this wonderful climb!
