"Got tight last night on absinthe and did knife tricks. Great success shooting the knife into the piano. The woodworms are so bad and eat hell out of all furniture that you can always claim the woodworms did it."

Talus Torture from Hancock PassSo, apparently 2nd October is the official date for people to climb this mountain, looking at the SP summit log! Jeeped to Hancock Pass, then summited "Hancock Peak," Van Wirt and Monumental. Headed down via Chalk Creek Pass then past the lakes before bushwhacking back up to the Jeep. Talus torture, but a beautiful hike and a reasonably fun wheeling outing with nice shelves and rock obstacles. Re-fueled at K's in BV before heading home.

Van WirtStarted at the ghost town of Hancock at 7:50 a.m. Was on the summit by 10:30 a.m. The talus field was not bad but it did slow me down. Beautiful.
