Pouring rain
No summit this time. Weather changed quickly and we got soaked. Turned around in the rubble as it was unwise to continue. Thunder and lightning, rain and high winds. But was sunny again at 5:00 pm in the parking lot. Go figure. Fun just the same.

Solo scramble
Great scramble, fun exposure on final summit ridge.

Fine outing
Great day out. This is an easy one. But it is all up and therfore all down. Not much break in the direction either way. 4.25 hours round trip up and down not counting lunch stop on the true summit. Very hazy. Which limited photography. Cheers William

Yup we reached the top in about 2.5 hrs it was an amazing experience. The weather was great. The mountain was full of snow which was very hard. We had to kick steps pretty much the whole way up. The way down was the most fun I've ever had. We glissaded down the avalanche bowl on the back side. Nothing better then a 1000 feet of foot skiing. Great day and a great experience.

For me, being relatively new to scrambling/climbing, this was an awesome scramble with extremely rewarding views and enough of a challenge to make me want to do more!
The weather was gorgeous, although rather windy on the ridge and especially at the crux on the traverse across to the true summit. There was no one else on the mountain--but this could have something to do with it being a weekday=)
The scramble up to the summit ridge was great and I was thankful for my childhood rock-climbing experiences and training. From the summit there are exceptional views of Mount Kidd, Mount Bogart, The Fortress, Mount Lawson and Inflexible, Fisher Peak, and many more. I sure wished I had taken a camera up with me!! Round trip we (Frederic and I) made it in just under 7 hours, with 1/2 hour spent on the summit.

Route Climbed: Scramble Date Climbed: June, 2004No one else on the route. Quiet outing. Totally peaceful, low ceiling, no wind at the summit. A quick day when everything else is out of shape.
