Excellent spot. Shaded by trees, and by the wall in the afternoon. Great range of difficulty. I've taught a couple of people how to climb on this wall. You can hike around the north to set up a top-rope or to top out. The dihedral is a very comfortable route for beginners. All the routes are rather clean that I've climbed so far.
Small stream to cross to get there, but it's an easy traverse. The site claims there is a Tyrolean Traverse, but I never noticed any. Just cross using rocks. The stream is a great one to soak your hot feet in after your climb.
All in all, a simple, accessible, safe, and fun wall for beginners as well as the slightly more skilled.
This is one of my favorite lay back climbing areas in Big Cottonwood. I have been climbing here off and on since 1998. It is a great place to stengthen your lead head and for beginers to play around.
