"After the first glass, you see things as you wish they were. After the second, you see things as they are not. Finally, you see things as they really are, which is the most horrible thing in the world."

Good TimesClimbed with my brother, a friend and those two guys below. We originally planned on doing more, but I was "too full for dessert" and such. Wonderful views. Look for my drawing in the register. We were right behind some other climbing celebrities.

A Great Weekend, And Peak! Our four-person mountaineering team summited Glacier Peak the previous day. We encountered a friend of ours near White Pass that evening, and decided to summit nearby White Mountain and Portal Peak the following day. Portal Peak offers great views of Glacier Peak, the Monte Cristo group, Painted Mountain, Black Mountain, and White Mountain. Highly recommended!

Nice PeakIf you've huffed it all the way up to White Pass for Glacier Peak, you might as well tag White and Portal too. It's only a little more gain and the views from the top make it worth it. Plus the ledges are fun.
