I wanted to do the traverse to Pauite but the winds were relentless. 40 MPH gusts made for some fun walking!

A first
This was my 2nd time up Audubon and my first couloir climb (Crooked). The 1st summit visit was via the standard route - probably in 2001. The first visit was probably also my first time above 13k feet.

Great hike in Indian Peaks. Beautiful wether as well, no wind which is surprising. Long hike from road closure round trip is approx. 13-14 miles. We were expericing some serious postholing on our way back, no snowshoes, long hike, but well worth it!

Epic Fail
Tried going for Audubon today, but terrible weather turned us back ~13000 feet (later discovered). We unknowingly walked over the summit of "Naudubon". To add to the annoyingess, we walked down the completely wrong ridge on the way down because we couldn't see anything...which meant our snowshoes we had ditched were on the Main Trail near tree line...now I have to go back up there and get them UGH!

Fantastic
Great day hike with amazing views. Encountered bad thunderstorms.
A short, easy hike. Combined Audubon with Notabon, Paiute, Toll, and Pawnee for a nice loop, but the visibility was low for much of the day. Will have to return for the views!

Easy hike
A nice, easy hike up and down the mountain. The views from the summit were amazing. I got to see my objective for the following day: Longs Peak.

Audubon
Wife and I took the standard route on a nice, but very very windy Sunday morning. Solitude at the summit, a rare treat!

Southeast ridge
Met Olivia at Ward, where we parked her car. Hiked up past Mitchell Lake and onto Audubon's thin, southeast ridge. There were 6 or 8 others on the summit before us. We then traversed the ridge over to the much less popular Paiute Peak. Great weather all day, with great views of Longs Peak and the Indian Peaks Wilderness.

Loop - Standard then down South Face
Quick to the top - along with 100 or so other people - but then down the south face towards east end of Blue Lake.
