Crater Lake to Cherokee/Achonee Tower/Achonee/Hopi. Packed out that evening and a mountain lion was tracking me in the dark! Long day.

From Crater Lake via Fair Glacier, Mount George, et al ...
We did the whole ridge behind Lone Eagle ... long day.
Solo hike. Didn't think I would ever get out of those trees! Great views, just be aware that the sun comes up from the east. If you want views of the eastern rim of the cirque you might want to wait and summit around 10:30 or 11:00 a.m. or your camera might find the lighting difficult to gage. I summited at around 8:30 and the sun was piercing. Serious solitude up there.
