Standard, then Fluted
Meant to make this a loop over Horn Peak, too, but my body wasn't ready for that. Descended to the drainage to the south of Fluted and picked up the trail there.

Horn Creek
Little surprise at the end of climb, sweet 3 class scrambling toward the top. Fall in Sangres is always spectacular.

Spring gathering
Awesome, I went to the 14er dot com spring gathering where I met a lot of friends some of who I hiked later that summer. Still some snow in the mountain, I did the loop Horn-Fluted-Little Horn and it was surprisingly difficult class 3 on Little Horn. I descended trhrough a gully to the south to avoid the difficult ridge and got into postholing nightmare.

West ridge from Fluted
Combined Little Horn with Horn & Fluted, which made for a nice ridge run with some optional class 3 scrambling. I revisited Little Horn after a winter climb in a light snow storm afforded no views.
1st: 7/19/09 - Left the Dry Creek Trail to gain the NE ridge in the trees. Nice scrambling on the upper part of the ridge and great views. Continued around the cirque over Fluted and Horn before descending the Horn Peak Trail back to the trailhead.
2nd: 9/18/21 - East Ridge then looped Fluted and Horn. With Jamie and Josh.

NE Ridge
I agree with Sarah, Little Horn makes for a safe winter ascent. Some nice scrambling on bomber rock as well.

NE Ridge, fine winter scramble
We gained the NE ridge shortly after leaving the Horn Creek TH (at 9700 ft) since we weren't sure how avy conditions on the steeper slopes would be. The snowy ridge required some minor scrambling, but was straightforward. We continued along the ridge to Fluted and this section was harder, 3rd or easy 4th class with snow. The traverse took several hours. Descended south from the saddle between the two (snow conditions were stable and ideal for glissading). Followed the Horn Creek Trail back to the TH.
