With Susan & company in November 2004. That scar is quite interesting to view up close. Returned with Harlan, DB and company in 2008 (I think). Also bagged El Padre (and another one whose name I forget) while I was back in there.
The scar is just from a landslide, stripping away the trees. It's pretty much one stratum of limestone -- that's the angle of the bedding in that area.
Winds were howling at the summit and it was cold. The last person to sign the summit log did so in May, 2005.
