Kings River
Hiked the Yucca Point Trail to the confluence of Kings River. The trail had a large variety of wildflowers and also a good share of poison oak. Saw Tenmile Creek Falls, Grizzly Falls, and Roaring River Falls.

Middle Fork of Kings River
I've spent a lot of time in Tehipite Valley and the surrounding area. The first visit in 1977(from Granite pass) and then a couple of times in the '80's(from Wishon reservoir through Crown valley). The Middle Fork of the Kings River is a paradise. It is like having Yosemite Valley all to yourself, without the cars and fat tourists. It is one of my favorite places to explore, swim and you can catch Rainbow trout all day long.

South Fork
Hiked the south fork up to Mist Falls. Great place--except for the mosquitos! Fortunately, the falls were misty and gave us a place to retreat from the hordes while we (I was with my son) ate lunch. --mark d.
Hiked over Kearsarge Pass from Onion Valley, along the John Muir Trail into Vidette Meadow then along Bubb's Creek to Road's End. Awesomely beautiful and truly feels backcountry. I plan to return to investigate more peaks, meadows, lakes, etc. I'd also like to check out Paradise Valley and Tehipiti.

One of my favorite places
I've hiked many of the trails in and around Kings Canyon. This is one place I recommend everyone should see and hike in at least once. Its beauty rivals Yosemite, and best of all, it doesn't get nearly as many visitors.

Wild majestyA jewel in itself, and the gateway to many other gems of the Sierra Nevada. Beautiful from above and below. Looking forward to more visits!
