Route Climbed: Echo Chute direct. Date Climbed: 04-02-05 and 04-17-05
Skinned up both times w/ a splitboard and had awesome rides down!
On the 17th we had some stiff wind and it gets me to want to break out the kiteboarding kite and see if I can make it from Griffith to Charleston Peak riding the wind!
The log book is currently burried under over 20' of snow according to GPS.
Word of caution, snow is melting quickly and we saw some rockfall, so be carefull of flying objects and enjoy the beauty
Route Climbed: South Loop Trail Date Climbed: May 24, 2002
We had hoped to replicate my brother's truly heroic ascent of Charleston Peak the previous 4th of July, but we were forced to settle for Griffith Peak instead. No matter - we were cashed, the views were wonderful, and this fine peak gave us a real sense of accomplishment.
