I've gone up Four Mile, down Panorama Trail (on different trips), always in June I think. Four Mile always has crowds, but I was surprised that Panorama doesn't -- at least until you link up with Vernal-Nevada. Ilillouette Falls on the Panorama Trail is a pretty spot.

Four Mile Trail
I hike the 4 Mile Trail to Glacier Point two or three times each year. Great conditioning hike! I didn't know there was a page for Glacier Point in Summit Post, nice going.

Great SKI!
Skied in. Camped @ the point.
Great sunset on 1/2 Dome. Even took a winter camping newbie.
Fantabulous!

4 Mile Trail
Drove up with my cousins from Switzerland (their first time in CA), then my dad and I hiked down the Four Mile Trail into the valley. I was 12 at the time and remember the towering cliffs above and below us along the trail.

Four Mile Trail
Wonderful hike! Great weather going up, but it turned to threatening in the afternoon. Although there were lots of folks headed up, we were the only ones who came prepared to brave wet weather from the return trip. The rest must have taken the bus! --mark d.
