So close and yet so far, as a daytripper from the West Side I just don't get over as often as I'd like. Dratz! But this neck of the woods is truly awesome. Rugged, soaring, a mountain landscape that rivals any other in North America. Scotty!

Thanks to LA for forcing the Eastern Sierra to remain a lightly populated, fantastic base for venturing to the high country. Can you imagine how many golf courses, gated communities, and sprawling neighborhoods places like Bishop would have if they still had the water?

Climbed to Dog Lake in Tuolemne Meadows. Beauitful lake trail once there.
