NE ridge
I had seen a conditions report showing that someone had been up there a few days before, but thought they had taken a different route to the ridge. I was surprised to find a snowshoe track as soon as I left the road. I lost it quickly, but ran into it again eventually. Beautiful sunny day with no one around. Great way to start the new year.

Can't go wrong with the Northern Sangres
Talked two guys off of 14ers.com into joining me on Eagle the day after Christmas, and we had an excellent day. The snow wasn't too deep making trail breaking not very difficult. The views from the top were amazing.

Northeast ridge
This is a nice, avy safe peak to do in the winter or spring. We started at the end of the plowing on CR-198 at the church camp. We left the road at 9800' where we were closest to the nose of the n.e. ridge. Very gentle ridge with a nice little finish.

NE Ridge from FR #198
10/28/06 - Hiked from partway up FR #198 leading to Rainbow Lake. Snow prohibited me from driving all the way. Hiked to the lake and climbed straight up the NE ridge from there. The ridge poses no difficulties. Nice fall solo hike.
1/27/19 - Started at the Lutheran Camp and hiked up FR #198 to about 9,800 feet. Left the trail there and gained the NE ridge. Easy windblown slopes to the summit. I hiked to Rainbow Lake the day before and there was no safe way to gain the ridge from there.

South Ridge
Climbed with Kiefer on a long route that included Cottonwood, PT 13123B, Thirsty and Lakes. Glad we took the trip out to get this peak while we were "in the area".

South Ridge
Probably did this the hard way but summited Eagle Peak with ascents of Cottonwood Peak, UN-13,123, Thirsty Peak and Lakes Peak. Basically a long 18-mile day with 8,100-v-ft. Treked with Chicagotransplant on this one. A real good day!
